  • Role Purpose

We are looking for an experienced Delegated Authority Oversight Manager to strengthen the governance, oversight and assurance of ERGO UK’s delegated authority arrangements.

As a subject matter expert, you will oversee binder, coverholder and third-party administrator relationships, ensuring they operate in line with regulatory expectations, capacity provider requirements and internal governance standards while supporting good customer outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and continuously improve ERGO UK’s Delegated Authority governance framework in line with regulatory and market requirements.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of delegated arrangements, including due diligence, onboarding, approval, ongoing oversight and renewal.
  • Maintain accurate central records of binders, agreements, service levels and delegated authority limits.
  • Coordinate annual binder reviews and renewals with underwriting, compliance and capacity provider stakeholders.
  • Deliver risk-based oversight and assurance reviews of UK and EU coverholders and TPAs.
  • Assess the quality of delegated underwriting, claims handling, reporting and customer outcomes.
  • Review and challenge bordereaux, management information and KPI data for completeness, accuracy and timeliness.
  • Track remediation actions and escape? (original text: Track remediation actions and **escalate** risks, breaches or material issues appropriately.)
  • Provide clear oversight reporting to senior management, governance committees and capacity providers.
  • Support compliance monitoring, audits, thematic reviews, control testing, attestations and regulatory enquiries.
  • Monitor financial and operational performance across the delegated authority portfolio and highlight emerging trends or capacity concerns.
  • Build effective relationships with underwriting teams, brokers, capacity providers and external partners.
  • Provide practical training and guidance on delegated authority obligations, controls and processes.
  • Represent ERGO UK in relevant market forums and working groups.

About You

  • Strong experience of delegated authority governance, oversight or assurance within the insurance market.
  • Sound knowledge of binder, coverholder and TPA arrangements and their associated risks and controls.
  • Good understanding of the FCA Handbook, including SYSC, PROD, COND and Consumer Duty; knowledge of Central Bank of Ireland expectations is advantageous.
  • Experience reviewing bordereaux, MI, KPIs and delegated partner performance.
  • Confidence in constructively challenging stakeholders and translating complex requirements into practical action.
  • Excellent planning, communication, relationship-management and decision-making skills.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach, with integrity, transparency and strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and deliver high-quality outcomes.
