Role Summary
As a Residential Child Care Worker, you’ll be a vital part of a supportive, dedicated team, creating a safe, loving, and stable home for young people. You’ll build strong, trusting relationships, becoming someone they can count on, and support their emotional, physical, and practical needs every day. You’ll work closely with professionals and agencies to ensure each child feels safe, valued, and empowered to thrive. Core Responsibilities
- Provide consistent, compassionate care for young people aged 8‑17, including those with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), high‑risk challenging behaviour, and learning/behavioural challenges.
- Build strong, trusting relationships and act as a reliable support for each child.
- Collaborate with professionals and agencies to support each child’s safety, well‑being and development.

Skills and Qualifications
Required Criteria
- 6‑12 months experience within a Children’s Residential Setting.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desired Criteria
- NVQ Level 3 / Level 4 Children and Young People’s Workforce (preferred or willing to work toward).
- Level 3/4 qualification (or willingness to work toward).
- 1+ year experience in a children’s residential setting.
Additional Information
- Contract Type: Full‑time.
- Salary: From £12.37 to £13.50 per hour.
