About the Role

Location: Rainford | Pay: £16/hr + £60 sleep‑in | Shifts: 2 on / 4 off

We’re a leading therapeutic children’s care provider in the Northwest, looking for caring, resilient, and passionate individuals to support young people aged 8–17 from complex backgrounds—including those with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), high‑risk challenging behaviour, and learning/behavioural challenges.

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to support the day‑to‑day running of our children’s home and lead in the Registered Manager’s absence. You’ll ensure high‑quality care, support your team, and help drive positive outcomes for every young person in our care.

Your role

In this role, you will support the Registered Manager in all aspects of home management, taking the lead on shift to delegate tasks and ensure that all records and care plans meet high standards. You’ll lead care planning, reviews, and ensure compliance with Children’s Home Regulations. As a mentor and guide, you’ll promote effective teamwork while managing staff inductions, supervisions, and appraisals. You will champion our young people by supporting their choices, encouraging independence, and responding to challenges with compassion and confidence. Additionally, you’ll liaise with professionals and agencies to provide holistic support, manage on‑call duties, and consistently uphold company policies.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 or 4 qualification in Children & Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent)
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a senior role within a children’s residential setting

Required Criteria

  • 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential setting at senior level
  • NVQ Level 3 or 4 Children and Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence
