Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Technical Proposals Engineer with proven experience in the aerospace tooling industry, or similar engineering background. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between customer requirements and internal capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage directly with clients to understand technical and commercial needs.
  • Decipher and interpret customer requirements, drawings, and specifications (RFQs, RFPs).
  • Identify key deliverables, compliance standards (e.g., AS9100), and timelines.
  • Translate client requirements into clear internal technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with design and supply chain teams to ensure feasibility and alignment with capabilities.
  • Ensure specifications meet tooling standards, including tolerances, materials, and usage conditions.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and formal, comprehensive quotations, factoring in material, labour, and subcontracting.
  • Develop and manage proposals, ensuring they are commercially viable and technically sound.
  • Follow up with clients on proposals and adjust scope or pricing as required.
  • Act as the central liaison between sales, engineering, supply chain, and procurement teams.
