We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Technical Project Manager with proven experience in engineering.
This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between customer requirements and internal capabilities.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in interpreting client needs, developing detailed technical specifications, and generating accurate and competitive and comprehensive quotations.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage directly with clients to understand technical and commercial needs.
- Decipher and interpret customer requirements, drawings, and specifications (RFQs, RFPs).
- Identify key deliverables, compliance standards (e. g., AS9100), and timelines.
- Translate client requirements into clear internal technical specifications.
- Collaborate with design and supply chain teams to ensure feasibility and alignment with capabilities.
- Ensure specifications meet tooling standards, including tolerances, materials, and usage conditions.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and formal, comprehensive quotations, factoring in material, labour, and subcontracting
- Develop and manage proposals, ensuring they are commercially viable and technically sound.
- Follow up with clients on proposals and adjust scope or pricing as required.
- Act as the central liaison between sales, engineering, supply chain, and procurement teams.
The Ideal Bid Manager will have the following skills and experience
- General Knowledge in the fields of engineering is essential - full training will be provided.
- Excellent relationship building skills.
- The ability to multi-task whilst remaining detail orientated.
