£Competitive range based on experience Deeside Industrial Estate Flexitime Monday to Thursday 8.30 - 5pm and Friday 8.30 - 3pm Hybrid working 1 day per week 25 days holiday Company pension Life Assurance Private Healthcare We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bid Manager with proven experience in the aerospace tooling industry, or similar engineering background. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between customer requirements and internal capabilities. The successful candidate will play a critical role in interpreting client needs, developing detailed technical specifications, and generating accurate and competitive and comprehensive quotations. Key Responsibilities: * Engage directly with clients to understand technical and commercial needs. * Decipher and interpret customer requirements, drawings, and specifications (RFQs, RFPs). * Identify key deliverables, compliance standards (e.g., AS9100), and timelines. * Translate client requirements into clear internal technical specifications. * Collaborate with design and supply chain teams to ensure feasibility and alignment with capabilities. * Ensure specifications meet tooling standards, including tolerances, materials, and usage conditions. * Prepare detailed cost estimates and formal, comprehensive quotations, factoring in material, labour, and subcontracting * Develop and manage proposals, ensuring they are commercially viable and technically sound. * Follow up with clients on proposals and adjust scope or pricing as required. * Act as the central liaison between sales, engineering, supply chain, and procurement teams. The Ideal Bid Manager will have the following skills and experience: * General Knowledge in the fields of engineering is essential - full training will be provided. * Excellent relationship building skills. * The ability to multi-task whilst remaining detail orientated.
