This is a fantastic role for an aspiring sales leader to take charge of a small global sales team and make a mark by steering the team to its next level of international sales growth. Our client is an international ESG artificial intelligence (AI) technology and data intelligence provider with an enviable international client base of asset managers, private market investors, and banks. The company is a true AI disruptor in the ESG space with both public and private company ESG intelligence solutions and is going through a global growth phase displacing more established competitors.

Consequently, they are looking to appoint a sales leader to manage the global sales team. It is a player-coach type sales leadership role in which you will:

  • Mentor and manage a 6-person team of quota-carrying sales professionals and BDRs in the UK, USA, and Continental Europe, and continue to grow the team as the company scales further internationally.
  • Develop sales strategies to penetrate new financial institution types and new international geographies.
  • Set achievable revenue targets and build a team strategy to meet them.
  • Take ownership of the entire sales process, from lead generation to closing deals, both with new clients and upselling to the existing client base.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, RevOps, Operations, and Product teams to develop compelling offers that drive revenue growth.
  • Monitor market trends and gather customer feedback to improve products and services whilst taking advantage of market opportunities as they arise.

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A proven track record of success in new business sales to either asset managers, private equity firms, private credit managers, banks, or insurance companies.
  • Some sales team management experience, able to demonstrate accountability for team quotas.
  • Enterprising small/scaling company experience.
  • Exceptional communication and people management skills.
  • Strong analytical ability and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to develop creative strategies that will drive revenue growth.
  • The personal motivation and ability to contribute to a dynamic and entrepreneurial team culture.
