Onnec is looking for a Global Procurement Manager who will be responsible for managing UK and international supplier relationships, contracts, and performance. The post-holder will act as the central point of contact for Procurement related activities and ensures that internal and external stakeholders are managed effectively and efficiently. This is a hybrid role with 3 days from the London office and 2 days remote from home.
What you’ll be doing as our Global Procurement Manager:
- Strategic Alignment: Partner with business leaders to understand operational objectives and translate them into effective sourcing and procurement strategies.
- Category & Supplier Management: Oversee supplier performance, negotiate contracts, and identify opportunities for consolidation, innovation, and efficiency.
- Value Creation: Drive total cost of ownership (TCO) optimisation, sustainability goals, and risk mitigation through proactive supplier engagement and market intelligence.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong, trust-based relationships across departments to ensure procurement initiatives support business priorities and timelines.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure procurement activities adhere to company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion best practices in procurement, digital tools, and analytics to enhance visibility, efficiency, and performance across the supply chain.
- Categorise and actively manage the Global Spend (Direct and Indirect) ensuring optimal performance, innovation, and cost effectiveness.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with Onnec's global procurement framework.
- Monitor market developments and technologies to inform sourcing and negotiation decisions.

- Commercial and financial acumen with a focus on value delivery.
- Deep understanding of procurement processes and regulations, contract law, commercial contracting and supplier management.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, within a global or multi-site organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver cost savings and process improvements.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of market trends, supplier innovation, and emerging procurement technologies.
- Preferred:
- CIPS qualification (or working towards it).
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
- Experience in both direct and indirect spend categories.
- Background in technology, construction, or related industries is advantageous.
