EXCELR8 Motorsport has an exciting opportunity to join our BTCC team operation for the 2026 season. EXCELR8 Motorsport is an established race winning and Championship winning team. To be considered for this role, you will need previous experience of a comparative role within motorsport. You will need to have drive, determination and a can-do attitude to succeed in this role. We’re looking for the successful candidate to have experience of complex decision making and strategic thinking when faced with challenging situations. Strong organisational skills including attention to detail and multitasking are essential to thrive in this role. The role will require you to work on our BTCC race cars at both the racetrack and the workshop. You need to have a keen eye for detail and a dedicated work ethic. The nature of the business will, from time to time, require you to work additional hours to achieve strict deadlines.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Upkeep, maintenance, setup and running of the company’s race cars
- Follow engineering and technical procedures during the rebuild and preparation of the car whilst respecting agreed deadlines.
- Follow instructions quickly and effectively, be highly motivated, have effective communication skills and work well in a team
- Sub assembly
- Understanding of the car maintenance carried out to the required specification and adhering to standard
- Ensure that the cars are maintained to the highest standards of safety.
- Checking that the car is fully compliant with the championship regulations
- The upkeep and maintenance of their car
- Making all changes to the car setup given to you by the Engineer
- Filling out all paperwork to a high standard
- Reporting all damage to the Workshop or Team Manager and recording accurately.
- Responsible for the workload of the No. 2 Technicians
- Upkeep of your work area, compliant with all H&S and company policies and procedures
- Responsible for the tools in their designated draw of the awning toolbox
- Loading and Unloading of Trucks
- Any other item requested by the Workshop Manager, Team Manager or Head Technician.
