A well-established building services contractor is looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys taking full ownership of projects within a supportive, close-knit environment where quality delivery and teamwork are key.
You’ll be responsible for managing multiple mechanical projects simultaneously, overseeing all aspects from pre-construction through to final handover. Projects will typically range across commercial fit-out and refurbishment schemes, with values varying up to £1m+.
This role would suit someone who is hands-on, commercially aware, and confident managing both site teams and client relationships. The company delivers a range of mechanical building services projects across commercial, education, healthcare, and industrial sectors, with a strong reputation for repeat business and high-quality delivery.
The Role
- Manage and oversee multiple mechanical projects from pre-construction through to completion
- Coordinate labour, materials, subcontractors, and site activities across live projects
- Attend client and site meetings, maintaining strong working relationships throughout
- Assist with project planning, procurement, and programme management
- Manage project budgets, variations, and commercial reporting
- Oversee RFIs, technical queries, and project documentation
- Ensure all health & safety procedures and regulations are adhered to on site
The Person
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within building services or M&E contracting
- Strong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems
- Comfortable managing multiple projects at once
- Commercially aware with experience managing budgets and programmes
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to problem solve on site
- Able to build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and site teams
