We are currently recruiting for a Cleaning Team Leader to oversee a team of cleaning operatives working in both Domestic and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) areas. The successful candidate will ensure cleaning standards are consistently met and maintained to client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and support cleaning operatives to ensure tasks are completed to the required standard.
- Provide cover for scheduled cleaning duties when necessary.
- Ensure all staff are trained in relevant SOPs, Risk Assessments, and Safe Systems of Work, with proper documentation maintained.
- Monitor and maintain cleaning standards across the site.
- Support the Cleaning Manager in managing overtime and cover requirements.
- Maintain daily contact with cleaning operatives during your shift.
- Assist with probation reviews, provide feedback, and suggest additional training where needed.
- Escalate any issues related to poor performance or behaviour.
- Lead by example in performing cleaning tasks and guiding staff on correct procedures.
- Review and ensure accurate completion of ACDs and cleaning logs.
- Ensure cleaning consumables are available and storage areas are well-stocked.
- Conduct regular checks on cleaning machinery and escalate any faults or equipment needs to the Cleaning Manager.
- Perform other duties as reasonably requested by management.
Skills & Experience Required:
- IT literate
- Knowledge of GMP cleaning and factory operations
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Proven leadership and team management abilities
- Attention to detail and commitment to due diligence
- Ability to follow strict protocols and procedures
- Must have the right to work in the UK
- Holiday Entitlement: 25 days + 8 bank holidays (pro rata)
