Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all interactive show technologies in shipwide venues, restaurants, and Youth Activities spaces.
- Assist with programming and maintaining the AMX network.
- Test, maintain and fire the Pyrotechnic and Laser systems in shipwide venues and for outdoor deck parties.
- Provide direction to the Show Control 2 Shipwide for the maintenance of all show control equipment including intelligent and generic lighting, video projection and control systems, and pyrotechnic and show control systems.
- Provide technical support for all shipwide groups including but not limited to lighting and show control systems programming, and AV mixing.
- Perform emergency abbreviated shows based on weather conditions, safety requirements, rehearsals and other altered technical requirements.
- Assist with events including load in and load outs, new show installations, equipment tests, vendor support, movie premiers, company events, and Cast Crossovers.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum five years related experience in theme parks, theatres or corporate AV, exposure to Show Control systems and remote devices required.
- Trade school diploma or confirmed related experience required.
- Experience with the programming, operation and maintenance of sophisticated theatre lighting systems, including moving lights.
- Previous work with High Definition video screens, projectors, and routing systems.
- Experience with Show Control systems, AMX, video playback and video servers, Hard Disk audio and digital lighting consoles, systems and software.
- Knowledge of Video-over-IP and IPTV systems beneficial.
- Work with I.T. and Entertainment networking protocols, computerized show control systems, SMPTE time code and MIDI controlled equipment an advantage.
- Can work at heights, with heavy equipment and in an environment with second-hand smoke, haze, fog, dry ice, and other special effects.
Additional Information:
- This is a shipboard role.
- You must be genuinely interested in a career at sea and willing to live and work onboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel.
- Be willing to follow and perform safety role, emergency responsibilities and associated responsibilities as specified in the ship Assembly Plan.
- Be willing to uphold the general safety management responsibilities as specified in the Safety Management System in areas and operations under their control.
- If applicable, be willing to share a confined cabin with other crew members and appreciative of working and living in a multicultural environment that has strict rules and regulations.
Your Responsibilities:
- Have a valid passport and C1/D Seaman's visa (DCL will provide you with documents to obtain this).
- Complete a pre-employment medical.
- Obtain a criminal background check.
- Bring approved work shoes.
