Excell Supply are currently recruiting a creative and enthusiastic English Teacher with a second subject in Outdoor Learning to work in a secondary school within Shropshire. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about English and enjoys delivering learning beyond the classroom.

The successful candidate will teach English across KS3 and KS4, alongside contributing to Outdoor Learning sessions that promote engagement, teamwork and personal development.

The role includes:

  • Planning and delivering engaging English lessons
  • Supporting literacy development across a range of abilities
  • Delivering Outdoor Learning activities in line with the school curriculum
  • Encouraging student participation, resilience and confidence
  • Managing behaviour effectively in both classroom and outdoor settings
  • Assessing and monitoring pupil progress

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Has recent experience teaching English in a UK secondary school
  • Has experience or a strong interest in Outdoor Learning
  • Is enthusiastic, adaptable and reliable
  • Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
