Maths Teacher – Specialist Education Setting
Starting immediately, Excell Supply Ltd are proud to be working in partnership with a SEN school, an employee-owned organisation delivering specialist education and care for young people. We are currently recruiting a dedicated and skilled Maths Teacher to join one of their specialist education settings. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to work within a therapeutic and structured learning environment, supporting young males who have experienced trauma and require a consistent, professional, and nurturing approach to education. This school operates national centres of excellence with a clear mission to reduce and prevent cycles of harm by helping young people address both their educational needs and underlying trauma. Practice is informed by NICE guidance within this specialist field.
The Role:
- Deliver high-quality Maths lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Teach Maths across appropriate key stages, adapting content to meet varying abilities
- Support pupils to develop confidence, resilience, and functional numeracy skills
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons within a highly structured learning environment
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning
- Work collaboratively with care, therapeutic, and education professionals
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, professionalism, and consistency
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Maths within a UK educational setting
- A calm, resilient, and consistent approach to classroom management
- An understanding of, or willingness to work within, a specialist therapeutic setting
- Strong commitment to safeguarding and supporting vulnerable young people
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
