Welsh-Speaking Classroom Assistant

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and fluent Welsh-speaking Classroom/ Teaching Assistant to join our team and support the learning and development of pupils in a bilingual educational setting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about education, child development and promoting the Welsh language.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons in Welsh
• Support pupils with their learning on a one-to-one or group basis
• Encourage the use of the Welsh language in all aspects of school life
• Provide pastoral support to ensure pupils feel confident and supported
• Help prepare classroom materials and maintain a positive learning environment

Requirements:

• Fluent in Welsh (essential)
• Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Commitment to promoting the Welsh language and culture
