Are you passionate about supporting young people in secondary education? We are seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated pool of supply staff for secondary schools across the Wirral. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience across a variety of school settings, support students' learning, and make a real difference each day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom support to students aged 11-16, under the guidance of teaching staff
- Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
- Offer 1:1 or small group support as needed
- Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
- Support pupils with additional needs, both academic and emotional
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young people, ideally in a school or youth setting
- A positive and patient attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and work collaboratively with different teams
- A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
