SEN Teaching Assistant
Contract Type:Temporary, Term Time Only
Hours: 8.30am-3.15pm
Pay Rate:£13.68 an hour

Excell Supply are currently recruiting for SEN teaching assistantsto work with Children with variousadditionalneeds in schools,for day to day, short-term and long-term positions within school hours. These roles are on a supply basis so are very flexible to work around yourbusy life.
To be considered for these roles, you will need to be someone who has a caring and nurturing personality, whohas the ability tobuild rapport with children, but also the ability to effectively manage challenging behaviour.
A teaching assistant qualification would be ideal, but experience of working with children or young adults withadditionalneeds is essential to these roles.
Working with Excell can help you gain experience working withina number ofdifferent schools, or help you gain a long term or permanent placement in a school, depending on your preference.
As a TA your role and responsibilities include:
- Providingsupport to a child on a 1:1 basis
- Promoting good behaviour / managing challenging behaviour
- Aiding pupils in their learning as effectively as possible
- Helping children withadditionaleducational needs
- Providing feedback on learning and development to the teacher
- Creating andmaintainingan orderly and supportive learning environment
- Administrative tasks
We are looking for the following qualities in applicants:
- Experience working with SEN
- Passion for education
- Friendly,positiveand pro-active attitude
- Team player
- Good organisationaland communicationskills
- Ideally hold a level 2 or 3 teaching assistant qualification (not essential)
