We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to join our warm and inclusive team in Chester. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
About the Role:
- Work one-to-one or in small groups with pupils who have SEN, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
- Support class teachers in creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies under the guidance of the SENCO.
- Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to staff and parents.
- Foster independence and confidence in pupils.
What Weβre Looking For:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs (school or other relevant settings).
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A good standard of literacy and numeracy.
