Excell Supply are recruiting for a Maths Teacher with a passion for raising achievement to work in a supportive secondary school in Shrewsbury. This unique role blends classroom teaching with targeted intervention, ideal for a teacher who enjoys seeing direct impact.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils, using engaging, differentiated resources.
- Lead small group and 1:1 intervention sessions with underperforming students.
- Collaborate with the department to develop targeted resources and booster materials.
- Analyse pupil data to plan bespoke learning support.
- Mark and assess students' work, providing effective feedback and next steps.
- Support the integration of new EdTech tools into lessons where appropriate.
- Attend parent evenings and contribute to reports when required.
Ideal Candidate:
- QTS and relevant degree in Mathematics or related subject.
- Experience with GCSE teaching and/or interventions.
- Proven record of raising attainment.
- Patience, strong communication, and adaptability.
- Ability to differentiate and personalise content for diverse learners.
