Excell Supply are currently recruiting a skilled and enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher to work in a secondary school in the Wrexham area. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative teacher who is passionate about practical learning and inspiring students through design, innovation and problem-solving.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging Design Technology lessons, supporting students of varying abilities and contributing positively to the wider school community.
The role includes:
- Planning and delivering high-quality Design Technology lessons
- Teaching practical and theory-based elements of the DT curriculum
- Supporting students to develop creativity, technical skills and safe working practices
- Managing behaviour effectively in workshop and classroom settings
- Assessing, monitoring and reporting on pupil progress
- Working collaboratively with departmental and support staff
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Has recent experience teaching Design Technology in a UK secondary school
- Has strong subject knowledge (e.g. resistant materials, product design, graphics or textiles)
- Is enthusiastic, reliable and adaptable
- Demonstrates excellent classroom and workshop management skills
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
