The Role

We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to support the design and development of next‑generation xenon flashlamp systems. The role involves hands‑on electrical design work across product development, manufacturing support, and fielded systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement electrical system designs
  • Support development of xenon flashlamp systems
  • Provide technical support for existing products
  • Troubleshoot and fault‑find electrical systems
  • Mentor junior engineers
  • Liaise with subcontract suppliers

Essential Experience

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years’ industry experience
  • Electrical system design (IEC 60204‑1)
  • Safety design (ISO 13849‑1 & 13849‑2)
  • Strong fault‑finding skills
  • Good documentation and revision control
  • Excellent communication and teamwork

Desirable Experience

  • Commissioning systems (FAT & SAT)
  • High‑voltage design experience (IEC 60204‑11)
  • Experience using EPLAN
  • PLC / HMI development (Siemens preferred)
  • Ladder logic knowledge
