About Excelerate Technology
For over 20 years, Excelerate Technology has been the leading pioneer in resilient hybrid communications for critical, complex environments. We design, install, and manage the mobile connectivity ecosystems that keep emergency services online when terrestrial networks fail. From smart ambulances and mobile command units to real-time video streaming for remote triage, our technology literally saves lives by bridging the gap between paramedics, clinicians, and patients.
The Role
We are looking for a high-performing Business Development & Account Manager to join our Cardiff team. This isn't a standard tech-sales role; it is a consultative partnership position. You will own and nurture our relationships across NHS Trusts, regional Ambulance Services, and Specialist Operations. Your mission is two-fold: ensuring our existing NHS partners receive world-class service while expanding our footprint to help more trusts digitize their fleets and push the boundaries of pre-hospital emergency care.
Key Responsibilities
- Nurture & Grow: Manage and deeply integrate into existing NHS Ambulance Trust accounts, understanding their ongoing clinical and operational challenges.
- Drive New Business: Identify and secure new opportunities within NHS procurement frameworks to introduce Excelerate's Smart Ambulance and hybrid connectivity solutions.
- Consultative Value Selling: Translate complex technology (bonded cellular, flat-panel satellite, multi-WAN routing) into real-world clinical benefits, like faster hospital handovers and reduced A&E conveyances.
- Bids & Tenders: Lead the response for NHS frameworks and formal IT/telecoms tenders, collaborating closely with our in-house engineering and R&D teams.
What We're Looking For
- NHS / Blue Light Pedigree: A proven track record in business development or account management selling technology, software, or complex solutions directly to the NHS or Emergency Services.
- Framework Savvy: A solid understanding of NHS procurement routes, frameworks, and long sales cycles.
- Tech Fluent, People First: You don't need to be an engineer, but you must confidently discuss concepts like mobile data, cellular optimization, or hardware integration.
- Ideally based in/near Cardiff but not essential: Willingness to work from our St Mellons HQ alongside our close-knit team, with a full UK driving license for UK-wide travel to client sites. Occasional travel abroad for trade fairs and additional European healthcare opportunities.
What We Offer
- Highly competitive base salary with a lucrative, uncapped commission structure.
- Company Car / Car allowance.
- Generous holiday allowance and company pension.
- The chance to sell cutting-edge technology that has a tangible, positive impact on public health and emergency response.
