JOB SUMMARY: Excelerate Energy is seeking our first LNG Financial Trader to join the LNG commercial team to build our capabilities.

This role will be to develop global gas and oil financial trading capabilities (JKM, TTF, HH, Brent) to manage the global LNG portfolio and downstream gas assets.

The Financial Trader will have a crucial role in creating value through execution quality, risk management, and disciplined asset-back approach to support the continued long-term growth of Excelerate Energy’s physical LNG portfolio.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following activities: Executing financial trades, including futures, swaps, and other products, within approved limits and risk management policies.

Providing execution support to commercial team for the pursuit of new LNG sales and purchase opportunities.

Support Risk team in monitoring and managing portfolio exposure within specific limits and durations.

Accurately capturing trades and maintaining position, profit and loss, and exposure within compliance frameworks.

Lead project to onboard Excelerate to exchange cleared trading activity and expand OTC trading partners to expand tradable products and improve liquidity.

Support pricing for physical spot/term opportunities for new deal capture.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Background in the Gas/LNG markets with significant experience in global gas and oil derivatives markets.5+ years’ experience with LNG/global gas financial trading.

Strong analytical skills and ability to work in high impact, fast-paced environment.

Confidence in developing market view integrating variety of data sources– traded volumes, liquidity, MOC activity, shipping indicators – for physical and financial gas markets.

Capable with variety of tools – Excel, Kpler, ICE, Trayport, Bloomberg, Reuters.
