We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Care Home Deputy Manager seeking a new opportunity to join our team at Sherrell House Nursing and Care Home in Chigwell, Essex. You would be reporting directly to the Home Manager and be supported by a Clinical Manager and the wider team. Sherrell House is a modern, purpose-built 92 bedded home, designed to deliver care in a family-run environment which supports residents to lead a high quality of life, offering long-term and respite residential, nursing, high dependency dementia needs and end of life care. Currently rated 'GOOD' by CQC.
Hours: 8am - 5pm (Monday - Friday)
Salary: 50-55k
About the role: As a Deputy Care Home Manager, you will provide leadership to ensure that high standards of care are delivered to meet the support needs of each of our residents every day. You will be responsible for coordinating and coaching care and ancillary teams to ensure that quality standards are continually improved, and outcomes are recorded and measured effectively. You will ensure that your team is well supported to perform their roles safely, as this will assist them to provide the best care for our residents. It goes without saying that you will need to be passionate about providing high quality care, ensuring the lives of residents are continually enriched.
About you:
- Experience within a nursing/care home setting for older people
- Previous experience as a Deputy Manager or Team Leader
- NVQ Level 5 would be desirable but experience or equivalent qualification is key
- Sound knowledge of current CQC Regulations, including the Single Assessment Framework and legislation
- Good knowledge of care for people with high dependency dementia
- Passion and drive to continually deliver 'outstanding care'
- Excellent organisations and planning skills
- An effective communicator able to deal with external and internal stakeholders at all levels
