We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Care Home Manager seeking a new opportunity to join our team at Sherrell House Nursing and Care Home in Chigwell, Essex. You would be reporting directly to the Regional Operations Director and be supported by two Clinical Managers and the wider team. Sherrell House is a beautiful 92 bedded home offering long-term and respite residential, nursing, high dependency dementia needs and end of life care. Currently rated ‘GOOD’ by CQC and 10/10 on Carehome.co.uk.
Hours: 8am – 5pm (Monday – Friday)
Salary: 90k
About the role of Registered Home Manager:
- Experience within a nursing/care home setting for older people.
- Previous experience as a Care Home Manager leading and developing strong teams.
- Registered Nurse – RGN with active PIN is preferable, however we will consider relevant experience coupled with a Level 5/equivalent qualification.
- Sound knowledge of current CQC Regulations, including the Single Assessment Framework and legislation.
- Good knowledge of care for people with high dependency dementia.
- Passion and drive to continually deliver ‘outstanding care’.
- A strong leader - building cohesive, strong teams and offering development opportunities to empower team members and ensure they have the knowledge and skill to perform their role to their best ability.
- Excellent organisations and planning skills.
- An effective communicator able to deal with external and internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Control of budgets with a strong focus on increasing the existing self-funding market.
