Salary: £14.50 per hour plus additional sleep in payments - Paid Breaks and Meals.
Shift Pattern: 8am to 10pm (2/3 shifts a week) with occasional sleep ins - £62.00 per night.

We are recruiting a dedicated and committed Support Worker to join a beautifully presented residential children’s home supporting children aged 6-17 years. You’ll be supported by an experienced leadership team to provide consistent, trauma-informed care in a safe and nurturing environment. You would be working directly with the children to support their physical, emotional and social development whilst always ensuring their safety and wellbeing – this is at the heart of everything we do.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work together with a team of Support Workers as well as collaboratively with the Senior Support Workers and leadership team.
- Create a safe, nurturing environment for the children.
- Support children to build positive relationships, develop independence skills and reach their full education potential.
- Help ensure the home meets all legislation, including Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards, Safeguarding and company policies.
- Receive induction, mentoring and training to ensure you have the skills to perform your role to a high standard.
Key Requirements:
- Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable groups which may include volunteering or family support.
- Willingness to complete a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare and undertake other training required to deliver exceptional care and support self-development.
- Compassionate, respectful, calm and caring nature.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Reliable, organised and professional – able to demonstrate good team working.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Respectful and motivated to help children to achieve positive outcomes.
- Full UK driving licence.
