Excelcare Homecare are recruiting a compassionate, resilient and dynamic Registered Manager to lead our well-established Homecare team, covering Tower Hamlets in London. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will have considerable experience and understanding of Homecare operations at Registered Manager level with sound knowledge of CQC Regulations, legislation and a passion to deliver outstanding care to our service users every day.
About the Role
Our Homecare service is currently delivering approximately 6,500 hours of care per week and as the Registered Manager you will be responsible for overseeing governance, quality, and regulatory compliance across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the CQC-registered individual for the service, ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Establish strong, professional relationships with all stakeholders including service users, their families, local authority, hospitals, commissioning teams, district nurses, therapists and GP’s.
- Lead on safeguarding, incidents, complaints, and quality assurance monitoring.
- Raising, reporting, responding and investigation of complaints, concerns and feedback received through the correct channels in line with company policies and procedures.
- Drive a culture of safe, effective, and person-centred care across the service
- Maintain oversight of audits, care standards, and ensure inspection readiness
- Monitor service performance, identifying risks and implementing improvements
- Ensure robust governance frameworks are embedded
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to the wider management team
- Report writing including governance and data updates.
Your Team
You will oversee a well-defined and scalable branch model, including:
- An established Management team.
- A team of branch-based Care Coordinators handling scheduling and capacity, carer availability management and package amendments
- Community Care Coordinators responsible for consultations, spot checks, supervisions & appraisals and competency checks
- Branch administrative support to manage all administration and compliance processes
This structure ensures the Registered Manager can focus on leadership, quality, and business growth.
About You
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager within Homecare
- Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
- Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations, inspections, and quality frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and services at scale
- Confident in managing safeguarding, complaints, and risk.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence and develop teams
- Commercial awareness and understanding of service growth and sustainability
