Growth Engineer (Outbound / GTM), Excelas
- The offer: Β£30,000βΒ£40,000 a year depending on experience, plus EMI share options
- Full-time, 40 hours a week
- Hybrid, with 2β3 days a week in the office at Ed City, West London (this may change in the next couple of months)
The role
We're looking for a creative, driven Growth Engineer with a background in building apps and systems, who will use them to generate leads at the top of the funnel. Ideally you've spent 2β3 years at a large manufacturing or engineering company, you're bored of the slow pace, and you want something exciting with long-term growth. You'll bring first-hand contacts and experience of selling and working in that sector.
You're a good fit if you have:
- Education: any background, ideally engineering, sciences or economics.
- Experience: 2β3 years (junior, not a graduate role), real go-to-market experience, and a track record of generating a steady pipeline of leads.
- Skills: you're comfortable working with AI agent systems, adapting them to sales and marketing goals, and building your own tooling.
- Range: you're a true all-rounder. One week you might design and run an event, do street interviews, cold call and run outbound email, or all of the above.
What youβll own (example KPIs)
BANT-qualified leads connected, calls booked, accounts opened, proposals sent and delivered, a clean and up-to-date CRM, and outbound campaigns executed.
How we work
- Tools: Cursor, Google and GCP, Grok Bot and Hermes, HubSpot and Salesforce, WhatsApp and Slack.
- Space: a co-working space and a private office.
- Rhythm: a weekly Friday sync, monthly reviews and few other meetings, with plenty of agency and autonomy.
Nice to have
- A second language.
- Creative hobbies like film editing, music or animation, to help with our creative assets.
- A portfolio of demos or builds. We love anything we can see or try.
Background and Company:
We historically have been an \"AI marking platform\" for schools with our award winning exam document marking platform. Recently we have raised additional capital funding and have seen traction from enterprise customers wanting to build out a similar testing and assessment solution but one that is \"OMI\" such that it can analyse video, audio and time series data from probes and sensor equipment. This will help save organisations time in training and asssessment as well as save on repair and installation costs for physical assets.
Launching two new products into the market and what we need help with scaling a sustainable pipline:
Excelas Grow (for sales, marketing and operational teams). Excelas Scale (for technnichans, QA/QC engineers and fleet health and installtion managers)
