Excel Resourcing is recruiting experienced HGV Technicians, Mechanics and Engineers for ongoing contractor assignments with leading fleet operators, logistics companies and commercial vehicle workshops across Sheffield. We have long-term contracts available for skilled engineers looking to maximise their earnings while enjoying the flexibility of contract work.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGV fleets
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
- Conducting inspections and preventative maintenance
- Fault finding using diagnostic equipment
- Repairing engines, gearboxes, braking systems, suspension and electrical components
- Completing work in line with DVSA and manufacturer standards
- Ensuring vehicles are returned to service safely and efficiently
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Engineer
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
- Experience working on trucks, trailers or municipal vehicles
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- Own tools and transport
