Our client is a well-established and highly respected supplier of DIY products, home improvement solutions and building materials, known for combining expert knowledge with exceptional customer service. Due to internal progression they are now seeking an experienced, customer service-focused Branch Manager to lead their busy store in Co. Kildare. This strategically important position requires an individual with excellent leadership, commercial awareness, and a proven ability to manage daily operations while driving team performance and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full responsibility for the day-to-day operations and overall performance of the branch.
  • Set clear KPIs and actively manage team performance against targets.
  • Foster a positive team culture and communicate goals effectively across all departments.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to attract new customers, increase store traffic, and improve profitability.
  • Plan and execute promotional events and campaigns in collaboration with the Group Marketing Department.
  • Support and mentor department managers to deliver strong results and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Oversee sales operations to maintain high service standards for trade and retail customers alike.
  • Monitor and control costs including staffing, logistics, and overheads.
  • Analyse P&L and take corrective commercial action where required.

Requirements:

  • Significant senior management experience within a similar large big box retail or trade-focused environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A results-driven mindset with a clear vision for achieving operational excellence.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, sales targets, and profitability goals.
  • Product knowledge within building materials or DIY retail is an advantage.
