A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a talented and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join the culinary team at one of the North West of Ireland's most respected 4-star hotels. We are seeking a passionate chef who takes pride in delivering exceptional food and is eager to develop their career within a busy, professional kitchen. Working alongside a highly skilled Head Chef and Sous Chef, you will play a key role in maintaining excellent food standards while contributing to the continued success of the hotel's food offering.
About the Role
As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for managing your designated section, ensuring all dishes are prepared, presented, and served to the highest standards. You will work closely with the senior kitchen team to deliver exceptional dining experiences across the hotel's restaurant, banqueting, wedding, and event operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated chef looking to further develop their skills in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in line with hotel standards and specifications.
- Efficiently manage your section while maintaining excellent organisation and cleanliness.
- Ensure consistency and quality in all food produced.
- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with menu development and the introduction of new dishes.
- Accurately manage stock levels, ordering, stock rotation, and food storage procedures.
- Help minimise waste and contribute to achieving food gross profit targets.
- Participate in monthly stock-takes and assist in resolving stock discrepancies.
- Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, HACCP, and food safety compliance.
- Report maintenance issues promptly and follow the correct procedures.
- Support the training and development of junior kitchen team members.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, food safety regulations, and health & safety requirements.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or a strong Demi Chef de Partie ready to step up.
- Experience within a hotel, restaurant, or high-volume hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and kitchen operations.
- A passion for fresh, quality ingredients and delivering outstanding food.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of HACCP and food safety procedures.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn, develop, and support colleagues.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and busy service periods.
