We are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Planner on behalf of an established logistics organisation. This is a key role within a fast-paced operation, responsible for ensuring the efficient, cost-effective, and reliable movement of goods across a busy transport network.

Responsibilities
- Plan and optimise daily and weekly transport schedules to ensure maximum efficiency
- Build and maintain effective delivery routes, balancing service levels with cost control
- Monitor live transport operations and respond quickly to delays, breakdowns, or last-minute changes
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and in line with customer expectations
- Communicate clearly with drivers, providing accurate instructions and ensuring adherence to schedules
- Work closely with warehouse, operations, and customer service teams to ensure smooth coordination
- Manage relationships with subcontractors and third-party transport providers
- Ensure full compliance with drivers’ hours, health & safety, and transport regulations
- Maintain accurate records and update transport planning systems in real time
- Review transport performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a transport planning, logistics coordination, or supply chain role
Required Skills
