Our client, a well-established and growing logistics business, is seeking to appoint an experienced and commercially focused Head of Operations / General Manager to run their business in Northern Ireland.

This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for operational performance, strategic direction, and team leadership within a fast-paced transport & logistics environment.

  • Oversee fleet performance and resource planning to maximise utilisation and fulfilment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve KPIs and drive continuous operational improvements across the business.
  • Collaborate closely with transport, warehousing, operations, and customer service teams to evolve service offerings.
  • Ensure full compliance with all operational, quality, and audit requirements.
  • Monitor performance metrics, including labour costs, service levels, and operational KPIs.
  • Drive efficiency in financial controls.
  • Lead regular operational reviews and planning sessions to optimise performance and cost effectiveness.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance cost control and service excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, driving performance and engagement.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and driving business performance.
  • Ability to work on site and some travel in accordance with requirements.
