Excel Recruitment are seeking an experienced Transport Compliance & Fleet Administrator to support the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of a busy transport fleet based in Armagh. This is a permanent, full-time role offering stability and the opportunity to work within a well-established logistics environment.
Responsibilities
- As part of fleet management, you will arrange and oversee the maintenance, servicing, and repair of the transport fleet.
- Ensure all vehicles meet safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Manage fleet documentation including vehicle registration, insurance, tax, CVRT, and licensing.
- Create purchase orders for fleet-related services and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and EU transport regulations.
- Monitor and enforce safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular fleet and driver audits using web-based compliance systems.
- Monitor fleet performance through KPIs and reporting.
- Analyse data relating to fleet utilisation, fuel consumption, and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and lower carbon footprint.
- Support and liaise with drivers and management on compliance and performance matters.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 year's experience in transport, logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in fleet management or transport operations.
- Strong knowledge of transport compliance and safety legislation.
- In-depth understanding of EU Drivers' Hours Regulations and the Driver Working Time Directive.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
- Strong analytical and reporting abilities.
- Proficiency in transport management systems and relevant software.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Full, valid driver's licence (C & CE licence would be an advantage).
