Are you looking for a rewarding role within healthcare? Health Care Assistants are a crucial part of General Practice. The role allows you to make a positive impact on patients' health. The post is for between 2-3 days per week (days to be agreed but this is likely to include a Tuesday late until 8:30pm). The successful candidate will need to be able to work autonomously as well as being part of the wider nursing team. As most of your day is spent on a one to one basis with patients, excellent communication skills are needed. The role requires the need to be open-minded, tactful, keep sensitive information confidential, work within your remit, have excellent communication skills, a genuine desire to work with patients and improve their health outcomes, be reliable and have a caring and approachable nature.

Excel Primary Care is a large GP Practice with 4 Partners, covering 18,000 patients, based over 3 sites in the area of Skelmersdale, West Lancashire. We strive to provide high quality care for our patients and have a good working environment for our staff. We are currently rated as good by CQC, a rating we have consistently achieved for a number of years.
Job responsibilities:
The role involves working closely with our clinicians and administrative teams. There is a considerable amount of patient-facing activity with daily clinics which can consist of bloods, annual reviews, B12 injections, new patient checks etc. The role is key in assisting with the provision of treatment, health promotion and patient education.

- Experience in Phlebotomy
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent
