Due to our continued growth, we now require a General Labourer/Facilities Operative to expand the current complement of our busy Facilities team, whose day to day operations cover car park sites across London and surrounding areas. Reporting to the Area Manager, these roles will primarily involve the provision of general labour to support the prompt, efficient delivery of on-site maintenance, repairs and upgrading existing signage.
The role will necessarily include regular day time travelling, additional working hours and occasional overnight stays.
Tasks will include

Site clearance and cleaning

Basic landscaping and gardening, including the removal of vegetation and ‘spoil’

Assisting with the erection and removal of signage

Post installations for parking machines
-
Minor building/civil repairs, groundwork and painting etc.

Basic electrician knowledge

Competant in using Chainsaw & various power tools

Combi/Hammer drills for installing wall mounted signage, taking down old signage and other miscellaneous tasks

STIHL petrol/cordless gardening equipment such as strimmers, hedge trimmers, blower and multi tool

Know how spray weed killer with STIHL knapsack and Weed Killer licence is desirable.

Soft dig post installations (2.5/3.6m) using post hole diggers, shovel and spirit level.

Breaker/demolition hammer and generator for hard dig post installations, machine installs and other civil/groundwork

Familiar with using postcrete, tarmac/asphalt etc… to make ground good when removing and installing posts

Comfortable using ladders and at heights

STIHL saw to cut posts down/remove or repairing potholes

Whacker plate when repairing potholes
You must be a conscientious worker, highly motivated and able to demonstrate high levels of attention to detail. You must also have a pride in your working day appearance and the ability to work as part of a small team. Some experience in Facilities or the Construction industry would be advantageous.
A full, clean UK manual, driving licence is required with over 5 years driving experience.
Hourly rate currently £12.50 – £14.00 per hour, depending on experience. Overtime will be available. This is based on 40 – 42 hours per week. Full on-job training and all tools and equipment will be provided.
