We are growing rapidly and are now looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Industrial Electrician to support our workshop operations and machine commissioning.
The Role
We are looking for a skilled electrician with an industrial background to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing, fault-finding, commissioning, and wiring a variety of industrial machines and equipment. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone that enjoys problem-solving, working with control circuits, and dealing with industrial electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Checking and testing industrial machinery including milling machines, lathes, saws, grinding machines and other equipment
- Working with 3-phase power systems
- Fault finding, diagnostics, and electrical repairs
- Commissioning machinery to ensure safe and correct operation
- Interpreting and working from electrical wiring diagrams
- Panel building including control circuits, relay logic, and wiring
- Supporting continuous improvement and workshop electrical standards
- Ensuring all electrical work complies with relevant safety regulations and company standards
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge and experience working with 3-phase electrical systems
- Experience in an industrial / engineering environment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings
- Solid understanding of machine wiring and industrial control systems
- Experience with fault-finding and testing
- Confidence working independently and as part of a team
Desirable / Future-Focused Skills (Not Essential)
- Experience using Electrical CAD software for drawing or updating schematics
- Knowledge of BS EN 60204-1:2018 (Safety of machinery – Electrical equipment of machines)
- Aware of EN ISO 13849-1 relating to machine safety control systems
