Excel London hosts 400+ events and welcomes 4 million visitors each year - and we’re looking for an Energy Manager to lead energy performance across our venue and estate, helping us reduce consumption and support our Net Zero Carbon roadmap.
What You’ll Do
- Own energy data analysis, reporting and KPIs - turning insights into practical efficiency plans
- Oversee metering improvement projects and support implementation of real‑time energy monitoring software
- Undertake audits, analyse load profiles and identify opportunities for immediate and long-term energy reduction
- Partner with Finance and Procurement to secure efficient, best‑value utilities contracts (fixed and flexible)
- Support development and delivery of the venue’s Energy Management Strategy and long-term investment plan
- Work closely with our Energy Centre operator to ensure performance and contractual obligations are met
- Collate data for compliance and reporting (e.g., SECR, ESOS) and support ISO14001/ESG energy initiatives
- Help embed a culture of energy consciousness across the venue and estate
What You’ll Bring
- Strong knowledge of energy management, carbon reduction legislation and reporting requirements
- Good technical understanding of building services (mechanical and electrical systems)
- Experience with utilities contracts and supplier/contract management
- Ability to analyse energy data and communicate clear, actionable headlines to stakeholders
- Experience in venues/estates with variable operational loads (events experience is a strong advantage)
- Comfortable working collaboratively across Engineering, Sustainability, Finance and external partners
