The predicted salary is between 27800 - 30200 £ per year.

Salary range from £13.45-£14.50 depending on experience. Excel Housing Solutions are seeking applications for a new team member for our Floating Support team. The role is providing support to clients across South Ribble and surrounding areas. The role will be hybrid, and all equipment will be provided. The role involves attending meetings with clients, colleagues or support services as and when required. A driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

We are looking for a motivated and dynamic forward-thinking applicant, who will support our clients in line with our ethos:

  • To engage with people who need support in a strength-based way, offering a relationship that delivers emotional support and challenge.
  • To support people to generate options for change and ensure they are aware of the consequences of their choices.
  • To ensure that people are fully aware of their rights and responsibilities of being a tenant.
  • To assist people to set up their tenancies by providing support with obtaining grants for furniture, household equipment etc.
  • To support the sharing of information and the resolution of conflicts between landlords and their tenants in order to prevent homelessness.
  • To undertake a safety plan that considers risks to the individual, their family and to the worker and wider community.

Experience

  • Previous experience in social care, mental health support, or community outreach is highly desirable.
  • Strong negotiation skills to advocate effectively on behalf of clients and resolve conflicts diplomatically.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and handle multiple priorities with enthusiasm.
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable individuals and empowering them toward greater independence.
