Looking for a senior marketing role with real responsibility - but not necessarily five full days a week?

We're looking for an experienced, commercially minded Marketing Manager to take overall responsibility for UK marketing activities within an exciting and highly regulated healthcare/life sciences environment.

This is a genuinely part-time opportunity, offering flexibility around how the hours are worked:

  • 3 days per week OR 5 days per week on reduced hours.
  • There may also be the opportunity to work from home occasionally, by negotiation, depending on business requirements.

About the role

This is a broad and hands-on marketing position with the opportunity to make a real impact across both B2B and B2C channels.

You'll be responsible for developing and delivering the annual marketing plan, managing the marketing budget and supporting the continued growth of the brand and business.

The role spans strategic planning, digital marketing, content, e Commerce, events, stakeholder engagement and regulated communications - so we're looking for someone who enjoys variety and is comfortable taking ownership.

You'll work closely with colleagues across the wider organisation, as well as healthcare professionals, NHS Supply Chain, distributors, agencies and other key partners.

  • What you'll be doing
  • Develop and implement the annual UK marketing plan and manage delivery against budget
  • Lead B2B and B2C promotional activity, including healthcare professional communications and customer campaigns
  • Manage content calendars, e-shots, mailshots and campaign performance
  • Oversee the UK website, digital content and online activity
  • Work with agencies across Google Ads, Meta Ads and Amazon Ads
  • Manage and develop e Commerce activity across Shopify and Amazon
  • Support conferences, events and sponsorship activity, generating leads for the sales team
  • Coordinate marketing literature, advertising and promotional materials with colleagues internationally
  • Support NHS tender and framework activity and relationships with NHS Supply Chain
  • Undertake competitor analysis and support UK market development
  • Build relationships with key healthcare and industry stakeholders
  • Ensure marketing activity complies with relevant regulatory and quality requirements, including ABPI, MDR and ISO 9001
  • Produce engaging content, including blogs and professional interviews
  • Monitor campaign performance and use data and insight to improve results

Who are we looking for?

We're interested in hearing from experienced marketers who have worked within a regulated environment, particularly those with experience in:

  • Medical devices
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Life sciences
  • Healthcare or other highly regulated sectors

A Level 4 marketing qualification, CIM Professional Certificate or equivalent is desirable.

ABPI knowledge or qualification is advantageous, but absolutely not mandatory.

Strong marketing experience gained within medical devices, pharmaceutical or other regulated life sciences environments is of particular interest.

Experience with platforms such as Shopify, Amazon, SAP, databases and Microsoft Office would be useful, as would experience managing digital agencies and online advertising.

More importantly, we're looking for someone who is

  • Commercial, proactive, hands-on, customer-focused, detail-oriented, a great communicator and comfortable working independently.
  • Someone who takes ownership, gets things done and enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders will thrive in this role.

What's on offer?

  • £50,000-£60,000 per annum FTE, pro rata for part-time hours
  • Bonus opportunity
  • Salary sacrifice car option
  • Genuine part-time flexibility - 3 days per week OR 5 days on reduced hours
  • Potential for occasional home working, by negotiation
  • An opportunity to work within an international healthcare/life sciences environment
  • A varied role with genuine ownership and the opportunity to influence UK marketing activity
