Role Description
The Air Conditioning, Ventilation and Refrigeration Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position working out of our office in Croydon, covering sites across London and surrounding counties.
The role involves diagnosing faults accurately and efficiently, performing routine and reactive maintenance, and carrying out repairs on various HVAC and refrigeration systems, including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and refrigeration.
Day-to-day tasks include completing preventive maintenance schedules, inspecting equipment for safety and efficiency, replacing parts, and documenting all work carried out in service reports.
Engineers will respond to service calls, liaise with customers on-site, provide professional advice on system care, and ensure all work complies with relevant standards and company procedures.
Collaboration with colleagues, adherence to health and safety guidelines, and maintaining tools and company vehicles in good condition are integral parts of the role.
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills in Maintenance & Repair of air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment.
- Experience with Preventive Maintenance practices, including scheduled servicing and system inspections.
- The ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
- Wider mechanical knowledge is beneficial.
- Offer clear communication and professionalism on-site, and the ability to explain technical issues in accessible terms.
- Relevant vocational qualifications or certifications in HVAC/R (e. g., F-Gas certification or equivalent) and a valid driving license.
