Job Description
- Supervise daily warehouse and stores operations in a manufacturing environment.
- Oversee receiving, storage, picking, kitting and issuing of materials.
- Coordinate material flow to ensure production requirements are met on time.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, stock locations and traceability.
- Conduct cycle counts and stocktakes and investigate stock variances.
- Manage warehouse layout, capacity, housekeeping and 5S standards.
- Ensure compliance with warehouse safety, quality, PPE and handling procedures.
- Lead, coach and manage warehouse staff and allocate daily workloads.
- Monitor warehouse performance, shortages, supplier delays and operational issues.
- Ensure accurate and timely ERP/SYSPRO transactions.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Valid forklift licence where applicable.
- Previous warehouse/stores experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous team-leading or supervisory experience.
- Experience in receiving, stock control, picking/kitting, cycle counting and warehouse safety.
- Working knowledge of an ERP system; SYSPRO experience advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and structural drawings.
- Strong leadership, planning, problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Good numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal English communication.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet physical requirements of the role.
