Excalibur Actuaries is one of the leading providers of advice to the legal profession, specialising in the pension aspects of divorce, and we are looking to recruit for the above role.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Administrator & Bookkeeper to manage daily administrative tasks and maintain accurate financial records that support our business. This role combines office administration duties with bookkeeping responsibilities to ensure smooth business operations and financial compliance.

You will have good communication skills, be able to work independently, meet deadlines and have experience of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Xero. No pensions experience is required as we provide full training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer and manage incoming phone calls in a timely and professional manner.
  • Respond to email enquiries, including preparing and issuing fee quotations.
  • Provide administrative support to the Directors, including managing emails, calls, and scheduling meetings.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, invoices and payments.
  • Handle accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare reports and assist with payroll and budgeting.
  • Oversee invoicing processes using the Xero accounting system.
  • Manage company accounts and VAT through Xero, with support from our accountants.
  • Use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Xero for daily tasks and reporting.
Requirements
  • Experience in administration and bookkeeping.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • An understanding of Xero accounting software is preferred.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
