Summary

We are looking to appoint an Assistant Librarian to work 10 hours per week, term time only on a permanent contract. Working hours will be 10:30 am – 4:00 pm on Mondays and Tuesdays. The role requires working on own initiative and experience of working with children in a similar setting.

Our library is a well‑resourced hub of activity where students are encouraged to develop a love and appreciation for reading. The Assistant Librarian will assist with the development, management and organisation of the library to ensure the provision of resources and information to staff and students. The successful candidate will be flexible, have excellent organisational skills and enjoy working in a team.

Salary

Salary is based on NJC pay points 9 – 11, with a full‑time equivalent of £27,254 – £28,142. Actual salary for 10 hours per week (five hours per day, inclusive of a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break), term time only plus two inset days is £6,270 – £6,475 per annum.
