About Exance
Exance Services Limited is a specialist MGA focused on construction and property insurance. We work with brokers and other intermediaries to deliver expert underwriting and tailored products under our delegated authorities. We are growing and are looking for an experienced Insurance Business Development Manager to help us build and deepen our broker portfolio.
The opportunity
- Own and develop a panel of UK brokers, with responsibility for growth and broker satisfaction.
- Identify and onboard new brokers who are active in construction and property insurance.
- Work closely with our underwriters to shape deals, manage expectations and protect capacity.
- Help to open up selected international opportunities with brokers and partners overseas.
- Play a visible role in shaping how Exance goes to market as a specialist MGA.
We are looking for
- Experience as a Wholesale Broker or BDM for an MGA, dealing with broker panels.
- A track record of growing GWP and commission through broker development.
- Strong knowledge of construction, property or related commercial insurance lines.
- Confidence in front of senior broker decision makers and ability to influence.
- A commercial mindset, with an understanding of underwriting appetite and portfolio quality.
- Self-starting attitude and comfort working in a growing, entrepreneurial business.
What we offer
- Competitive basic salary (expected range £40,000 to £70,000, depending on experience).
