We provide thorough and impartial assessments to assist claimants in being awarded the Personal Independent Payment benefit.
As a Functional Assessor, you will join an established team of health professionals who conduct daily assessments to help the DWP (Department for Work and Pensions) to review and make important decisions. This role will allow you to move away from the hands‑on patient care and the toll this can take on you physically. You will be utilising all your clinical knowledge and experience, exploring conditions and how they can impact on day‑to‑day life. It will enable you to improve your assessment skills, evaluate various situations and make important clinical recommendations.
An ideal person for this challenging yet rewarding role will be compassionate and empathetic, have a wealth of knowledge in various medical conditions, possess great computer skills and good time management. Extensive training will be provided to help you to transition into your new career. At ExamWorks we understand that this is a big change and put our full investment into teaching and supporting you. You’ll begin with a 5‑week period (Mon – Friday 08:30 – 16:30) which will be conducted both remotely and onsite at our training centres. The training will consist of eLearning, classroom based, practical and mentorship. After the initial period, you will continue to work on your ongoing development whilst receiving full guidance and support.
We believe that progression is an important step in any career and the opportunities available once you are comfortable in the role can include Clinical Support Lead, Mentor, Trainer, Interviewer and more!
If you are looking for a better work/life balance, no evenings or weekends, a competitive salary, a range of benefits and a new way of working, this could be the perfect role for you.

- Attending additional training and CPD sessions
What we need from you:
