The HR Apprentice role supports the HR team in delivering a high-quality service to the group. The role has a defined career path within Human Resources.

The role is based in Premex Services Ltd (PSL), which provides independent medico-legal reports to the legal and insurance industries to assist in personal injury cases.

What to Expect

You will have access to excellent training to support you in your role and will receive regular coaching and feedback from your line manager.

Responsibilities

  • Support the payroll team with full end-to-end payroll processing.
  • Calculate and process employee wages, attendance, overtime and deductions for smaller group payrolls.
  • Assist with administration of employee benefits processed through payroll.
  • Upload and reconcile pensions; prepare and distribute various reports to stakeholders.
  • Handle employee pay enquiries and escalate to a senior payroll employee as required.
  • Support in processing statutory payments such as Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity Pay, PAYE and National Insurance.
  • Assist in year-end payroll procedures and maintain GDPR compliance in line with Data Protection Act.
  • Record data accurately in payroll and HR software and ensure compliance with payroll legislation and company policies.
  • Assist with payroll audits (internal and external) and support Core HR duties as required.
  • Undertake any other duties as required.
