Location: Onsite – Burton on Trent

Hours: 24–40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary: £44,000 – £48,000 (pro rata depending on hours)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Health Advisor to join our onsite clinical team in Burton on Trent. This role offers an excellent opportunity to deliver high quality occupational health services within a supportive and professional environment, while contributing to the ongoing development of health and wellbeing provision. This position is ideal for an Occupational Health Advisor who enjoys working autonomously, values clinical excellence, and is passionate about supporting both employees and managers.

The Role

  • Delivering high quality occupational health screenings, assessments, and clinical advice
  • Managing referrals, triage, and case management to ensure timely and appropriate outcomes
  • Assessing health conditions and workplace factors that may impact fitness for work
  • Advising on reasonable adjustments and workplace adaptations
  • Producing clear, accurate, and comprehensive occupational health reports within 24 hours of consultations
  • Building effective working relationships with managers, employees, and partner organisations
  • Maintaining professional impartiality at all times
  • Supporting and delivering health promotion, wellbeing initiatives, and training as required
  • Providing advice on occupational health legislation and contributing to service development
  • Actively contributing to clinical governance and SEQOHS accreditation
  • Supporting and advising other occupational health professionals where appropriate
  • Maintaining continuing professional development in line with the NMC Code of Conduct

About You

You will be a confident and professional Occupational Health Advisor, comfortable working independently in an onsite clinical environment and committed to delivering a consistently high standard of care.

Essential requirements:

  • Registered General Nurse (NMC)
  • Proven experience within occupational health
  • Broad and varied clinical background
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Strong IT skills and sound medical knowledge
  • Ability to make informed, independent clinical assessments

Desirable:

  • Recognised qualification in Occupational Health
  • Knowledge and awareness of occupational health legislation
  • Flexible and adaptable approach
