We are now seeking an experienced and highly professional Clinical Psychologist to join our expanding medicoâlegal and occupational health services . This is an excellent opportunity to combine clinical expertise with expert witness work, contributing to highâquality assessments, evidenceâbased interventions, and authoritative medicoâlegal reporting.
Role OverviewIn this role, you will:
Carry out comprehensive psychological assessments across a range of presentations.
Deliver shortâtoâmediumâterm Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) interventions.
Produce structured, impartial, and compliant expert witness reports for legal proceedings.
Support the development and quality assurance of our expert panel.
Attend court or tribunal hearings to provide expert evidence when required.
Maintain accurate and upâtoâdate clinical records in line with GDPR , HCPC standards , and NHS/private practice requirements.
Participate in regular supervision and ongoing CPD .
Keep up to date with relevant legislation, regulatory changes, medical standards, HSE guidance, and case law.
Person SpecificationQualifications & Knowledge
BPSâaccredited Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) .
HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
Minimum two years\â postâqualification experience .
Formal training and experience in delivering CBT .
Competence in medicoâlegal report writing; Bond Solon training desirable.
Strong understanding of CPR Part 35 and PD 35 duties.
Evidence of ongoing medicoâlegal CPD.
Commitment to high professional standards, ethical practice, and integrity.
Experience
At least two years\â clinical experience or 100+ personal injury reports completed.
Experience across a range of case types (clinical negligence, serious injury, disability, criminal, mental capacity) desirable.
Experience participating in case conferences desirable.
Experience giving oral evidence in court advantageous.
Demonstrated experience delivering CBT to diverse client groups.
Strong understanding of UK ethical and legal frameworks governing psychological practice.
