We are looking for a compassionate, experienced Female Healthcare Assistant to join a dedicated care team supporting a client with complex health needs in their family home. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering person-centred care and building a positive relationship with both the client and family. The client's mother is actively involved in care planning and support, so we are seeking someone who is confident, resilient, professional, and comfortable working closely with family members.
About the Role
You will provide high-quality, one-to-one support, helping to promote comfort, wellbeing, dignity and independence while ensuring all clinical needs are safely managed. Your responsibilities will include:
- Seizure monitoring and management
- Administration of emergency epilepsy medication
- Assistance with eating and drinking
- Oxygen therapy
- Vital signs monitoring
- Following infection prevention and control procedures
- Observing and responding to non-verbal communication cues
- Accurate record keeping and communication with the wider care team
What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from experienced carers who have:
- A minimum of 12 months' complex care experience
- Strong experience supporting individuals with epilepsy and seizure management
- Experience working with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), including post-traumatic amnesia
- Experience managing complex medication regimes
- A caring, patient and family-centred approach
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to work independently within a home environment
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential due to location)
Female Healthcare Assistant required due to client needs. Must arrive for each shift with a clean uniform and indoor footwear and change upon arrival. Comfortable working within a family home setting. Reliable, professional and committed to delivering exceptional care.
Shift Information
Primarily: Day shifts between 8:00am and 10:00pm. Some night shifts may also be available. Full shift pattern to be confirmed.
Pay Rates:
Monday to Friday: £14.20 per hour
Saturday & Sunday: £15.40 per hour
Day and night shifts available (day shifts are the priority)
